Microsoft announced exclusive games for competitors a few days ago, but the titles were secret

- Phil Spencer, CEO of Xbox, announced last week that Microsoft would launch four exclusive games from the platform for competing consoles, such as PS5 and Nintendo Switch;
- The launch was foreseen as a contract established with Sony and other companies (a 5-10 -year content licensing) – an agreement was crucial for the UK to approve Microsoft’s merger with Activision Blizzard;
- The announcement of the games confirms rumors, which already anticipated the arrival of the exact titles – a very poorly kept secret, by the way;
- Many expected the ad to come during Nintendo Direct, a digital event of the Japanese manufacturer that took place on Wednesday (21) and focused on third party games. However, news officially came through the Xbox blog, hours later.

This Wednesday (21), we announced that four Xbox games, dear to fans, will reach Nintendo Switch and Sony platforms soon. The studios responsible for these acclaimed games have taken advantage of their multiplatform experiences to open the worlds they created for even more players and communities.

When will the Xbox games reach PS5 and Nintendo Switch?
- Pentiment: From Obsidian Entertainment, a truly unique narrative adventure game, critically acclaimed and award -winning, with an impressive visual style inspired by the story itself, will reach PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch on February 22.
- GRANDED: Also from Obsidian Entertainment, a phenomenon of cooperative survival adventure that received 20 million players, will hit the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch in April 16.
- Hi-Fi Rush: The award -winning and beloved action game of Tango Gameworks/Bethesda Softworks will hit the PlayStation 5 on March 19with pre-purchase available at PlayStation 5 digital stores in February 21.
- Sea of Thieves: Rare shared world adventure game will hit the PlayStation 5 in April 30 – But it is available for the PlayStation 5 players’ wish list starting today, February 22. Worldwide, support for the cross game for Xbox, PlayStation and PC will allow players to experience epic pirate adventures with friends on more platforms.
According to Spencer, the four games announced were released for Xbox and PC for at least one year and reached their “total potential” on these platforms, being considered successful titles by the company.
