Change marks the end of the company’s structure with two CEOs, announced last year

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) announced Hideaki Nishino as his new president and CEO, from April 1, 2025.
Nishino, who joined the company in 2000 and acted as head of Platform Business Groupnow, it will be ahead of the whole SIE, which controls the PlayStation consoles, partner studios and services, such as the PlayStation Plus.
This change marks the end of the model of two CEOssomething that had been adopted in 2024, with Nishino leading the division of platforms and Herman Hulstformer chief of Guerrilla Gamesahead of Studio Business Group. From now on, hulst will report directly to Nishino.

- Beyond this restructuring in the SIE, the Sony Group CorporationSIE controller, will also undergo significant changes;
- Hiroki Totoki, current president, COO and CFO of Sony, will assume the position of president and CEO of Sonywhile Lin Tao, Senior Vice President of SIE Finance and Corporate Strategy, will be promoted to Sony’s CFO;
- The position of president of SIE has not yet been definedbut Tao’s successor in SIE will be announced later.
