Microsoft is testing an Xbox artificial intelligence chatbot that can be used for automating support tasks with a “IA incorporated character” that can answer questions and even process game refunds on Microsoft’s support site.

- Zhang also explains that the new chatbot is “an animated character who can consult Xbox support topics with voice or text” to respond quickly to support requests.
With the expansion of prototype tests in recent days, Microsoft hopes that one day Chatbot – called Xbox’s virtual support agent (Xbox Support Virtual Agentin English) – can deal with support consultations from all Xbox customers. The information is from The Verge, and was confirmed by the company.

The new Xbox chatbot is similar to Azure Ai Bot Service, which allows Microsoft’s own customers to create bots for task automation. As Haiyan Zhang, Xbox Gaming General Manager, to The Verge, “The prototype makes it easy and faster than players have help with support topics using natural language, obtaining information from the existing Xbox support pages.”
Also according to Zhang, Chatbot is “an animated character who can consult Xbox support topics with voice or text” to respond quickly to support requests – from a broken Xbox to help to solve problems with paid subscriptions.
