How to transfer data from PS5 to PS5 Pro

PlayStation 5 Pro arrived in Brazilian stores in the early November, with the promise of offering more performance, hardware improvements and better graphic performance, aiming at players looking for the best possible experience in the last generation games.

The manufacturer Sony reported that the PS5 Pro has 67% more powerful GPU than the base model, plus 28% more fast RAM. The console also has 3.5 GHz and 2 TB SSD AMD Zen 2 processor, representing little more than double the standard PS5 storage with 825 GB of space.

Despite all the benefits presented, the launch of the new version of Sony’s well -known console caused controversy, mainly for its suggested price of $ 6,999.90.

Still, many players who already had the PS5 guaranteed their pro model in the early days, having the need to transfer data from the old device to the new. Check out the step by step of how to transfer.

How to transfer data from PS5 to PS5 Pro

If you already have a PlayStation and want to start using the PS5 Pro, releasing your data, account and user settings for the new console, follow the step by step below. The procedure goes for data transfer from PS5 or PS4.

Important: Both consoles need to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network, and if you use a LAN cable, the process is even faster.

  1. Make sure the origin console is turned on;

    In the destination console, go to the main screen and select Settings> System> System Software.

  2. Select data transfer> Continue and follow the instructions on the screen;
  3. The destination console is automatically restarted during data transfer.

    You can start using the console after it restarts. The transfer of some data, such as game data, will still be in progress even after the console reboot.

  4. When a game is ready to run, a miniature of it will be shown at the beginning of the games.

    You can select the thumbnail to run the game while the other data is still being transferred.

  5. To check data transfer progress, go to the Control Center and select downloads/uploads.

Whether it’s a new DualSense control or one that already has, you need to pair it with the new console. Use the USB-C cable supplied to connect them to the console and turn on the control.

PlayStation Portal: On the PS5 console home screen, select Settings> System> Remote Use, and then enable Remote Use. Start the session on your PlayStation Network account on the PlayStation Portal and follow the screen instructions to synchronize it to your new console.

Headset PlayStation Pulse Elite: Connect the USB adapter supplied to one of the Type-A rear USB-A ports on the console and press the PlaySet Link button on the headset.

PlayStation Pulse Explore: Make sure the headphones are fitted into the recharge case, insert the USB adapter into one of the console’s USB Type-A ports, remove the headphones from the case to connect them to the console.
