When you are used to a type of console, it is common strange and having difficulty getting used to a new one until you learn about what has been moved or changed from one model to another.
This happens with PlayStation users, who felt some differences between models 4 and 5. In PS5, the way to remotely turn off the console has changed, and could restart and put in rest mode.
On PlayStation 5, you need to play the PlayStation button to open a wider menu with blocks, trophy progression, notifications and more. Right at the right end of the menu is the turns off button, right in the corner, being a difference from the previous model. Check out how to do the PS5 in rest mode, turn off and restart.

How is PS5’s rest mode

This mode of rest is not a new resource for the console, but for new owners, it is important to make clear what this mode of waiting does. Simply put, he turns off the console, but leaves it in a suspended state, which means he is still consuming a little energy, but not as if totally connected.
Standardly, the PS5 will always be turned off in rest mode when the physical power button is pressed, but it is possible to change this in the settings.
For the player, the rest mode has some benefits, among them:
- It carries the control as it keeps the USB ports connected for a while after it is turned off;
- The current game remains suspended, leaving it in system memory in a suspended state;
- Unlock remote control and reproduction features, you can login remotely on the machine and use it at a distance using the PlayStation app to install games, for example;
- Keeps the games and rescues updated, as the rest mode allows the PS5 to check in with the Internet in the background, updating the recently started games.
