According to employees, the company revealed in an internal meeting that aims to adopt a multiplatform strategy for Xbox

- Microsoft is working on a strategy to turn Xbox into a platform that can be accessed on various devices;
- Before an official announcement on Thursday (15) -which revealed that four exclusive console games will be released for competitors -an internal meeting was held to talk about the future of Xbox, as revealed by employees to the inverse;
- At the meeting, Phil Spencer, CEO of Microsoft Gaming, and Sarah Bond, president of Xbox, talked about the launch of a “future hardware”, microsoft cuts and the multiplatform strategy, with Bond stating that “every screen is an Xbox”;
- The initiative has been in force since 2014, when Spencer arrived at the company.
At the meeting, Phil Spencer, CEO of Microsoft Gaming, and Sarah Bond, president of Xbox, announced an Xbox “future hardware” and a new Call of Duty in October. Spencer also talked about recent job cuts at Microsoft. Bond has revealed plans to transform Xbox into a platform that can be accessed on various devices.

According to employees -who preferred not to reveal their identities -Sarah used the phrase “Every screen is an Xbox” to refer to the new multiplatform strategy and, to illustrate the idea, the company showed images of the Palworld game on tablets, TVs, monitors and portable devices.
Remember that the strategy is not new to Microsoft. In 2020Jason Ronald, vice president of ecosystem and game devices at Xbox Gaming, said the initiative began in 2014 with the arrival of Spencer. At the time, Ronald pointed out that Xbox was not “trying to force the player to update for an individual device or to make things exclusive to this or that device.”
