POLICENUTS GAME

Game created by Konami and Hideo Kojima, Polycenauts is an anime -inspired adventure on an detective in the future. It was released in 1994 in Japan, but could not be made available to other countries because of an audio synchronization in animation scenes.

The game features Jonathan Ingram, one of the five members of the polycenauts group, who are actually police trained as astronauts to ensure the safety of the new space colony.

The main character ends up getting lost in space with the costume that puts him in cryogenic sleep. 25 years later, he is found. Then he returns to Los Angeles as a detective and finds that his ex-wife was killed and her new husband disappeared. Therefore, it needs to go back to the colony to solve this mystery.

2. MIZZURNA FALLS

Developed and published by Human Entertainment, the Falls Mizzurna game was released in 1998. It is an excellent open world game, but it was only in Japan. It is speculated that this was due to the developer’s lack of interest in launching him in other countries.

The game takes place in a fictional city with the same name as the title. His plot focuses on strange events in the area, one of them was the disappearance of student Emma Rowland and the fact that the young Kathy Flannery was found unconscious in the forest.

From these facts, Matthew Williams, who is Emma’s classmate, decides to investigate this mystery in search of answers.

Game with an engaging supernatural narrative that claims to be cursed, “Kowai Shashin” was developed by Media Entertainment and released in 2002 and captivated the imagination of the players. Nevertheless, it seems that the developer did not present a plan to bring the game to other countries.

The narrative of the game was not linear, as players were presented to various photographs with spirits who needed to be extirpated.

4. Pepsiman

Developed by Kid (Kindle Imagine Develop) and released in 1999, this Pepsi brand game brings a mascot that travels in a city looking for cans of soda. The game is historical, as it was the precursor of the endless running genre, the Endless Runner.

The game was released only in Japan as part of a brand strategy in the country. So they created a superhero named Pepsiman and managed to perform multiple commercials on television.
